There is a lot to like about the F-75+, and other F-75's and Teknetics T2's and the main thing is the excellent physical package that creates exceptional comfort, control and 'feel', and that is complemented by the very Simple design for mode and setting adjustments. One pushbutton and one rotary switch on the display make a terrific design.

Most of the Modes are good and the Tones used are also useful and sound great. The chosen operating Frequency is also good, and I seldom have any EMI issues, even when operating at a Sensitivity setting of '95' to '99'. The unit is very stable.

I like this detector so well I would like to purchase another F-75, but make it the F-75 Premium version. All I would like to see are the following:

•• Eliminate 1n, 2h and 2L and 2F. Just have the 1-Tone and 2-Tone modes also the 3 and 3H, 4 and 4H. I don't care for the full multi-tone more so I would zap that, too. I would keep bP, Pf and CL.

•• I would ADD Iron Audio Volume that would function with ALL Disc. modes, and give it a variable Volume level from '0' for 'Off' on up to '5' or '10', but make it variable full-time for any Disc. mode chosen.

Due to the F-75+ performance I would think any other adjustment tweaking would not be needed. No Iron Bias or Iron Filter, and not a slew of updates, either. Just modify a couple of things as mentioned and put a new detector on the market. One that is proven and ready-to-go except with a very useful 'modern' model addition of Iron Audio Volume, along with eliminating some unnecessary modes.

I'll be first in line for the F-75P (Premium)
