My Florida Trip!

All that and he paid for lunch.......i feel bad he didnt get some gold for that effort. Hey..... but had a great time meeting the guys. His wife took the picture, but she was just as busy as us swinging that MXT and deserves some recognition. You are hitting enough beaches..... hopefully one will pay off big for you guys.

It was a road trip for him Tim. I suspect you found a LOT of beach to cover. I expected you to come swing a coil with us Tim..... sorry about work but some one has to do it........ as long as it aint me.

Curt ....... i think you are getting some idea how sanded in we are. I know a lot of folks up North may not believe us when we say there just isnt many targets out there. Right now.... its HARD LABOR out there. See ya Fri buddy..... maybe our timing will improve.

I showed them that ring at lunch and said how you got upset when I did the dance..... (Mike wanted me to demonstrate the dance in the restaurant)

You should have... you embarrassed me in front of all those beach-goers... then again if you danced in the restaurant everyone would know you were a tourist

Dont remember what he called his chain of found rings he showed us....... but there were some nice tickets. If that chain ever broke it would be a free for all....

Before you come back , get off the Dead Gulf Coast, and hit the Treasure Coast line 75 miles East http://www.treasuresites.com/Members/sef.htm , If it's sanded in on the west side, might not be on the East, meet up with Scoundrel for a Quest appearance dive on the Capitana for 1715 Fleet treasure, you won't be able to keep it, but will have a good time on the boat , if Scoundrel & the Captain permit's it , have a great trip, Earl

Update: Silver and Gold!

Hunt #4: (Last hunt on the Gulf side) Got out 1 last time with Dewcon yesterday. Lots of targets, clad, canslaw, pulltabs, some fake jewelry. After getting home I cleaned out my pouch, and saw this little nugget. It appears I have found my first ever Gold filling......Yay. Don't have my test kit with me but it sure looks and feels right. Quite heavy. Also found a broken Silver earring. Thanks to gil, Dew, and Mike for taking me out to some gorgeous beaches. I'll be heading back over to the Atlantic side tomorrow, to see what's going on over there. (-3 degrees at my house in New York today. No hurry to go home....) Thanks again guys and we'll see you soon.....Curt

The gulf coast side of Florida is going to have much cleaner beaches by the time you leave buddy!! ;):D

I totaled a little over $6.50 in change for the two days. 4 pieces, and i mean pieces, of silver the first day. That last silver i got yesterday was 21 grams. Not my best hunts, but it all i could get my coil over with rough water the first day.

Now for the bad news. You know i was supposed to meet you guys for lunch yesterday after the hunt. Got there and remembered........ i left my water on the Jeep bumper. Sooooo i had to turn around..... and of course it had left the building. 3rd one in a year so im used to it and now buy the cheap ones with date, time and light. I cant live without a watch since i wake up 3 times a night. Hey ..... but who knows tomorrow maybe pay day out there.

Dew

Enjoyed the hunt with you

All I found was a half dozen 1/4s, a couple dimes, a toy car, a piece of homemade copper jewelry, and a few Felix pennies. Lunch was great.

For the picture we had to shuffle seats so everyone would know which was Curt . His name was right over his head. I have golf 3 days next week, so unless you are still around the 22nd, See you next year....Gil
