Multiple Rings in a Single Scoop?

So I am just curious for everyone out there, has this ever happened to you? I do wonder how often this has happened since a buddy of mine was telling me a story where he was shocked to see two gold rings in the same scoop one day. Although I have not been that lucky I have picked up multiple targets in the same scoop but never two rings yet...let alone 2 gold ones!

I've had multiple rings in the same land hole. Many times. People put stuff down in the same spot. Not enough time in the sand, though, to make a judgement there. In the water? I'd say that's a highly improbable occurrence, but mathematically, with enough detectorists and rings out there, it's still a possibility!

I think it happens a lot more with wedding sets that aren't soldered together. Both slip off in the water and fall to the same spot. If its a protected cove they are likely going to sit in the same spot, like a lake.

I did it once in a freshwater lake. Both were gold. 1 14k and 1 10k. I think they came off the same finger. Well I guess I actually have done it twice as I have a wedding set but those rings were kinda soldered together so I really hadn’t thought about them as 2 different rings but they are different rings, soooo I’ve managed to do this twice now!! It’s an awesome site in the scoop for sure.
