Hey everybody I was wondering if anyone has ever got 2 pair of wireless linkable headphones to use on one detector. since my daughter and I (shes just 11) are both still pretty fresh at this point. i thought maybe we could discern and learn the tones of her nokta simplex plus better together instead of us wandering around on seperate machines? and maybe help her learn her detector better with what little info and experience ive gathered?

and lol yea we use the built in speaker but of course we both like usin the headphones in high trash or noisy areas.

I've wondered the same thing, seems like it would be a great teaching tool. Thanks for asking, hope you'll get a knowledgeable reply.

The problem is the Simplex Plus utilizes WiFi for its wireless connection so there are no earbuds, or headphones that will work with the simplex plus as far as i know other than the green nokta headphones that work with the Simplex plus, but having said that you could always purchase this.

and then purchase a wireless Bluetooth transmitter plus a set of earbuds and each of you use one of the earbuds so you would both be hearing the tones
something like this

and these

and you would most likely need one of these

Thank you for the info oldkoot. 🙂🍻
No problem

I have never tried what you are attempting to try, but I do know all the components i gave you links for will work, I do use them with various detectors that do not utilize a Wireless Bluetooth connection, and they do work really good, I used a wireless transmitter on my Axiom with a Avantree Torus neckband speaker system and it works great, so I do not see why it would not also work with the simplex plus which I also own and use

you will just have to figure out a way to mount the Transmitter to the simplex plus so it is not just dangling there

All kidding aside I can see a very cool advantage to this idea. How many people with disabilities that can't swing a coil but could listen to the signals while the care givers doing the swinging for them. Think about it. They can't dig, but the thrill of the hunt will be with them the whole way. What is your opinions on this.

I’ve used the aptx low latency plug in transmitter on my Simplex+ so I could use my Avantree Torus and it works great, I’ve sold the Simplex and ordered a Deus 2 WS6 master with 9in coil and hope I can use the same setup on it to use the Torus or my Legend headphone‘s will know in a couple of days when it arrives.

Thats actually a great idea, I have 7 detectors and only one of the seven has Bluetooth capabilities so I use a wireless transmitter on the other 5 the simplex plus is the only detector i own that I have not used a wireless transmitter with the five I do have wireless transmitters attached to it has worked fantastic on all of them, including my newest acclamation the Garrett Axiom, which came with a wireless headphone but they are over the ear headphones which I do not use on any of my detectors, I used sticky backed Velcro to hold the transmitters on, the biggest issue is trying to find a location on whatever detector to attach the transmitter so its just not dangling there

I love the Avantree Torus, i am currently using the Torus with every detector I own including my Axiom which I also had to attach a wireless transmitter to, to allow for the avantree Torus to work with it

if the Deus 2 has a headphone jack it should work, depending on the phone jack you may have to purchase an adapter 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch if the Deus 2 has a 1/8 jack then you are set

Just a thought came into my head Avantree makes a transmitter that allows you to connect two pairs of headhone to listen to one object like a TV and as far as I know the way I understand it you can connect two headphones to this transmitter where two individuals can watch a TV or listen to the same music at the same time so if it is small enough it my be something to look into to achieve what you are trying to achieve

this would definitely work for what you are wanting to do, this is the way I would go

i hadnt rly thought about it that way but thats a good point. 👍

i would go with the other one I linked, why because it is smaller so it would be easier to find a place to attach it to on the simplex plus

this is the one I would go with

This little bluetooth transmitter/reciever works great too and can be linked to two headphones at one time.

Do you have a link where to purchase that one, might help the OP while looking for different options, the more the better

I was able to use the transmitter and easily pair the Deus2 WS6 puck with the Avantree Torus, works perfectly, took it out for short hunt to try it out, will pair my Legend headphones as well to have more options, the transmitter is only 22grams .
