Interesting... since they occur in large numbers every 17 years, why do you suggest the next occurrence would be 221 years from now? Am I missing something?The south and some of the Midwest is about to get real buggy.
There are 17-year cicadas and 13-year cicadas. Last time they emerged in the same year was 1803. Lewis and Clark probably saw them
Next time will be 221 years from now.
There may be a trillion of them.

100% Ticks (at least where I live) pose a bigger health threat than rattlesnakes, bears,coyotes , ground bees..etc. I know many people that have been affected/crippled from Lyme disease!Better than all the ticks!
