Manticore 15 coil-anyone been able to buy one?

I herd by the end of this month , I am also looking to purchase the 15 , I agree , ML needs to be more transparent , on when they ship accessories out , and when they will be available, instead of the silence.

That's you lying unconscious after you see the price of the coils :D

If the following is right, then the 15" is $329 in UK Pounds. That's $424 US.

Yeah the Manticore is £1800 in the UK which is $2312 US. That's a 44% price difference ($2312 vs $1600). So the UK price for that coil isn't a direct comparison. Insane.

Ok.....so coil in UK is $329 pounds which is $424 US dollars. $1600 US price is 69.2% of $2312 UK price for the Manticore. So applying that to the coil....69.2% of $424 is $293.4.

Is $293 (I bet it will be $299) reasonable for the 15" coil?

Is $400 reasonable for the M15. No, I don't think that's reasonable.

But, I bet it will be bearable, for many. Though they complain of the real pain they feel paying that much, still, many will.

I don't think there are all "that many" Manticores out there. Not compared to the Nox 800 in it's first six months, or even the D2 or Legend. I may be completely wrong about that, I'm only basing it on forum chatter and how many forum members I've seen buy these machines.

The Manticore is over priced. Really. I like it, a lot, and would not go back to my 800 now that I have the Manticore. But, $1600? I like it. I think it's better than the 800. I don't think it is reasonably twice the price I paid for my Nox 800. But, I paid it...

And I'll pay for the M8, too. Was wanting the M15 as well, but, I don't want to feel the pain of bending over for it after bending over for the small coil. There's only so many times a year I'm gonna let ML go red rocket on me.

Well you got to ask yourself will a $150.00 machine find as much clad as a $1500.00 machine .I for one will not be buying a machine for $2000.00 plus no matter what it can do there were only so many coins dropped . There are fewer everyday unless you hunt clad but they may just quit minting that to .
But if it's your # 1 hobby go for it I have hunted for 54 years and I do have other hobby's that I can do. I still like to hunt I guess it's just in my blood .sube

The Mantipanty has really only been available to the masses for about 5 months and the majority are still trying to nail this machine down. A few have made some spectacular finds , but not so much as in another quality machine not finding a great target if the coil went over it by an experienced hunter. I still can't see myself forking over that kind of dough with the noticeable increase of hunters and the decrease in quality targets , particularly over the last few years. Why ML hasn't made available the accessories that everyone demands with a new detector purchase is beyond me. Instead it's months on end of stringing people along. And it's a repetitive company culture. For those willing to be bent and offset the costs : finding that elusive Gold Vaseline may make it more pleasurable.

Gold vaseline makes everything more pleasurable. And I have found enough of it, with my Manticore, to pay for the M8 with some change left over. Assuming the price lands where I think it will. We really don't know yet what US prices are going to be.

I'd like another lower shaft to go with any spare coil, too. How much you wanna bet they still aren't available even when the coils finally are. And stupid expensive when they do show up...

Like I have said many times now, I do like the Manticore, a lot. But, but, but... You won't see me lining up for the 3030 replacement whenever it shows up at whatever crazy price. I'm putting that money towards a PI and it probably won't be a Minelab.

Been waiting myself for a PI , waterproof salt water / beach machine , as far as the lower rods , me to , everything takes longer now , longer than the NOX extras , kinda makes you think now before you buy , when these manufacturer's start listening to the customer's & wake up , they will be the manufacturer's that survive , Two major manufacturer's are no longer with us , I SEE a 3rd. coming & it is there fault they will fold :(
