Back home for some play time while the grass is short and decided to check an old strip of mining houses to recon a spot to detect. Got a solid 12-42/43 on the CTX and dug a plug. I noticed a disk of soil in the plug and thought maybe a coin. Scanned the hole an nothing, checked the plug and the target was there. Out popped a huge disk, AN 1897s MORGAN DOLLAR in great shape. No way, not possible!! Well I guess I know where I am going in the morning!! Sorry for the garbage pic but I will post a wrap up report when I finish for the weekend. I have never found one and probably won't again!!
