KFC recipe MIGHT have been leaked !

And I can only eat Popeyes. Something in KFC doesn't agree with me.
That just happened about 10 years ago. Figured they changed the type of oil or something.
Same with those new Pringles.

Such a shame,i loved them both.
Maybe baking with this maybe KFC recipe can satisfy my chicken urge!

hey, could even try using the recipe with fish !

(we prefer baked or broiled)

Someone needs to get the recipe for CocaCola please, I can drink that by the gallons.

I drink it too and always have. I still think that when they went to new Coke and then changed back, it still isn't the same coke that they had before. Close maybe, but not the same.

KFC in our household at least once a week. I prefer it over Popeyes

I like that Popeyes has the spicy, but it seems like every time I've been there, it's SUPER greasy. Like running down your arm greasy. Surprisingly enough some of the best fried chicken I've had came from one of those little joints in the gas station...

Ugh, that "new" coke was horrible! Just horrible!

I still think because I drink so much Coke, my gut is rock solid and I can pretty much digest anything. Stuff is so good!

Right, they wouldn't confirm it... I was as surprised as you that we were never asked to sign anything etc. We had pallets and pallets of the various spices ad dumped them into huge mixers.

One of the funniest part about working there was that all the guys had big arms from slinging 50 and 100 lb bags of spices around every day...lol

We'd mix the seasonings up top where the mixers were and then go down on the bottom and have to fill 50 pound bags and then stack them on pallets so you'd lift everything twice...lol

So all the KFC guys looked like Popeye....:laughing:

Hey, I was just thinking, what would stop other restaurants from now making and saying "we have chicken just like KFC" ?

In order for KFC to try to stop them, they would have to admit that recipe is indeed correct and also copyrighted or patented however that works.

.......now, if we can only find the recipe for the Big Mac sauce !:laughing::laughing:

I haven't had KFC in a long while, I found that the local stores did a poor job of preparing it. Traveling through Virginia a few years ago, I tried some and it was great. By coincidence, someone posted a link recently from the NY Times in 1976, about Colonel Sanders stopping in at a NYC KFC with the NY Times food critic. He had sold the business at that point, but still got a salary as a "consultant". He walked in unannounced in his full outfit, and pronounced the food terrible. They were overcooking the chicken, the mashed potatoes tasted like paste, etc. Apparently after Heublein bought the company, they changed preparation methods and let quality control slip.

Probably the change from cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup. Try some of the Coca Cola from Mexico, they still use cane sugar.

Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time a company sacrificed quality either from poorer ingredients and/or faster (but not better) preparation methods to increase their profit margin. :gaah:

Not that too much cane sugar is good for you, but it's not as bad as high fructose corn syrup.

You see some companies make a point of advertising right on the product itself - "NO High Fructose Corn Syrup" - Look at a Hunt's ketchup bottle for example.

The fact that some companies make a point to emphasize "NO High Fructose Corn Syrup" should tell us something ! :hmmm:
