Just thought I'd share with you guys another thing I pick up around here



fossils!!

Nope!!
They are from a few million years ago and they are called Rudistes and they are Bi-valves
The wonders of the internet huh
These days you can find out anything in a matter of minutes
Yeah I thought they were teeth at first and thought woah cool
Then some person told me otherwise and i just made sure
But children love the storys of dragons teeth etc.... lol

DANG IT! I thought they were my lost false theeth, and I could go back to eating corn on the cob. Those are really cool.

Sweet! Definitely looked like T-Rex teeth or something. I love fossils.

A Bi-valve is a Mollusc you know a shellfish type thing


These fossils are ten to a dozen around here you can just pick them up from the farmers fields
I must have about 15 of them and thats just picking them up when i walk the dogs
Not really searching for them
I have found 2 Nautilis as well and various other coral imprints and molluscs

I know some fossils of fish etc... can reach tens of thousands in prices

That is very cool. When in Iraq we would find shells all over the ground, which is interesting because we were 200 miles from the ocean!
