In the water
After a couple hours in the water I finally gave up on trying to find some exposures of older material and decided to give the sanded-in areas a try. Almost right away I got a sweet signal and a nice shiny O in the scoop. Lots of prying eyes around so I popped it in the pocket without looking at it. Half an hour later another bigger and hefty ring - same story. Then later, a bright claddagh ring in the scoop that I knew must be silver. When I got back to the car and looked at the rings, big letdown. Two tungsten rings - beautiful and bright but not gold! At least the claddagh is a good solid .925. These must all have been recent drops because they look like they just left the jewelry store. No gold, but the silver saved a skunk, and I have to admit that the tungtens are really good looking rings. I'll call it a good day!

Grats on the trio. Them fake rings are becoming more and more popular. Disposable rings for disposable marriages :lol:

congrats on the silver. I will never understand those loser rings. it's like driving a honda and putting a BMW symbol on the front. If can't afford it don't pretend

I would say nice hunt Brian but because there is no yellow can I say fair instead? :D

All I can ever find lately.
These are only #2 and 3 tungsten for me. Hope it's not a harbinger of things to come.:no:

I think Joee hit the nail on the head....

It's in the eye of the beholder....;) For me, any hunt in the water on a nice day is a good hunt, with silver a very nice hunt, and with gold a great hunt.:lol:
Seems like silver follows me around lately. Where is the gold. Nice hunt.
Still lookin', it's been a slow year so far... Thanks and good luck!

Yeah, welcome to the club of silver and tungsten...

Congrats on the triple!!

<°)))>{

In my books if they are not just coins then it is a fun hunt. Congrats on hat trick!
I've always wondered what one could do with those tungsten rings. I already have a bunch. Has anybody come with an idea?

Thanks Scubacat! How about whacking them with a hammer to see how far the shattered pieces travel?:lol: Problem is they look too nice to just destroy them for no good reason....
