Bally's quoted 89.00 for Friday and 199.00 for Saturday + taxes and fees............

Yeah if you pay for both days you can hunt both but mine lab is only sponsoring the Saturday hunt Sunday is sponsored by another club

Ok so some rules have been posted about the hunt in AC there is to be no PI machines.
Hand scoops only so no long handle or step on scoops and you must fill your holes and take any trash you dig. No speed sifters or mesh bags. You also can't use a WOT coil and any large coils like that... and senestivity must be set low so you dont interferre with other hunters

A speed sifter is like a mesh basket that attaches around your waist and you dump the sand in it as you go and it gets sifted out

Thanks, I never saw a speed sifter or anyone use one, but I have never been to a competition hunt either

It was on the facebook of the guy who is the head of the sponsoring club. They are pretty much the standard rules for competition hunts. The no long handle scoops is a safe issue since there are so many people on the site. Same with the big coils and because years ago somebody claimed it gave some of the hunters a bigger advantage. The lowering of the sensitivity is so no one has a problem interference since there is so many machines in one area and alot of people use the same machine.

Well the ecrda is who ran the hunt last year in AC and they are in ocean city this year there is a gold and silver hunt on sunday and a early registration gold hunt on saturday. Early registration ends jan 15

We've extended early reg until Feb. 28 (a lot of THers are still cleaning up after the storm, including me).

Well last year my wife and I walked in and someone's stuff was in the room and not like they had forgotten it. A woman's purse was on the bed with make up in the bathroom and clothes on the bed. Needless to say we went right to the front desk and told them about it and the upgraded us to a suite overlooking the beach
