If you had $1000 what would get??

I would get a Aka Sorex pro and get the small 6" coil while your at it. I know, I changed my mind. Maybe a AkA Berkut 5 with the same coil choice.

I need a few things for the 2017 season,
a new pair of chest waders, the ones I have leak,
and that lake water is cold till mid May !
A good stainless steel beach scoop,
a new 31" Sampson shovel, I broke my Sampson last year & re-welded it.
Maybe a Nel snake coil for my AT Pro ?

I am in your shoes, loving my PRO and no longer seriously considering the Deus.
I do have $1000 to spend from the proceeds of selling my 3030.
I will do one of three things in the next 120 days:

1 Get another NEL coil and slow down with it this time
2 Get an Etrac with the 11" coil
3 Check out the new AT PRO

Good Luck to you!

Its nice for once to have a Sport that (sort of) funds itself. Our largest expense is transportation...they say in Michigan it costs an avg of 4k/yr to own and operate a car...All in all, that sounds about right...

A guy can minimize this outlay by buying a good junk high mpg detecting vehicle and keep it running for years with simple maintenance...You gotta pick one up right, you have to be able to properly evaluate the conditions of everything, especially the tires...then keep it going for 5yrs + and possibly come close to recouping your initial spend on the sale...If you took care of it and bought it at bottom dollar that is...

If, and I'm saying IF, a guy considers this angle, can minimize the transportation expenses while maximizing converting finds into dollars, yeah...break even is a good thing...I know a few bicycle bums that make pay on account of they have no transportation expenses, so everything they find is to the plus side of the ROI equation...Limited range and weather though...but that totlot dollar worth of clad to them is a plus, to a car owner, its a start...Just thinking...

for me

For me I would spend the money on research and learning troop movements even bribe few land owners to get permission to hunt virgin properties....

My Mx Sport and great leads is all I would need....

I would continue using the detectors that I already have and use the money to pay bills. Being retired and on a fixed income sucks.

Still thinking about a Florida Vac. , but may want to add that z- link , haven't heard a lot of raves so not sure . Extra cash is all about making life a little more comfortable . I try to live at the edge of my affordability . As you approach the final curtain ( if your retired , you are ) I don't want regrets , like , I could have traveled more , stayed in good hotels ,driven a better ride , eat out or bought a toy for us . I'm not leaving much behind

Best thing I ever put on my AtPro.

$1000 or even a little less these days would get you a gently used Deus with 11" Coil, WS5 headphones, and Remote

Well, if I was going to hunt tot lots,,parks,,old house sites,,barn sites,,,polluted sites,,school yard sites,,,sports fields,,concession stand areas, farm fields, looking for either or or and high conductive coins,,,,low conductor coins,,,silver jewelry,,,gold jewelry,,,civil war relics,,or any nonferrous object period.

If I were looking for one detector to do all this,,,I would get???

Ask me this again in a few weeks,,,I may have an answer.

I got the NEL 15 inch coil for my ATP and it made no difference for me. I sitll couldn't find the six inch deep silver quarter I planted? Just more heavy.
I quit using it.

HH everyone

Interesting. My first day out with NEL I got an 8" Merc my stock and 5x8 coils didn't get a whiff of. I imagine soil differences are a factor and mileage varies between sites/users.

A good used V3i and an extra coil or two. There is a nice one in the classifieds right now (I have no connection, just sayin'). Don't mess with the Vx3. Not a bad machine - a V3i with a lot of the features stripped out, but why handicap yourself, just get a V3i. That or a 70's era N-frame Smith & Wesson .44. Still on my bucket list...

I got a question..Did you not like the 3030,cause you said you may buy a Etrac with money from selling the 3030...I never owned a 3030, but have had the Etrac and don't see how coin shooting could get much better, aside from weight.
I switch up all the time,so maybe that's what you did?
