Out metal detecting at our homestead. Its from the late 1700s when they settles here in ns. I found by the original well what seems to be some sort of an ore. We found a couple more pieces. Wonder if its lead or something? Looks cool, its not magnetic and pretty heavy for how small it is. Almost looks like rock but when washed off can see shiny sparkles in it. Also some pictures of some other cools stuff we found. We found a 1920 silver dime too by the well so far. Just beginners still. I wonder what eea this old spoons from? It looks like a handle used to connect to the metal piece but i bet decayed over tome.

Yep, probably melted lead. Folks melted lead for lots of purposes back in the 'olden days', in addition to casting bullets. The exterior is oxidation and when you scratch that off you can reveal the shiny lead.
