Help pricing a 1973 D steel or zinc coated lincoln

Just got back form the coin and jewelery store. The man I spoke with said that he has never heard of Westerblegend1's story. He said that it is probably electroplated, but I should still pursue finding information about this coin. Now, what exactly is clad? Is it magnetic? Maybe I have a clad planchet of some type. The coin is very lustrous.

Just wondering, does this coin have a wheat reverse or a memorial rev?

Could be an altered date '43 wheatie.

Also someone else mentioned Fred Weinberg,he is probably one of the most respected and knowledgeable experts on error coins,it might be worth the effort to contact him about the coin..

Good luck and keep us updated!!:)

It's a memorial rev. I'll try to contact Fred Weinberg, thanks.

EDIT: It's pretty much been confirmed now... It's just an electroplated coin. :'( Meh... Oh well... #$&@ happens.
