So I went to a new site and my very first sound, target. Was silver! A Rosie !!
I'm telling you I was so close to my car, I could spit to it!!!a virgin site, right? There's got to be more, right? I'm telling you I hunted until my back screamed
" enough already! Give it up! Now! Or I promise you, not only won't you sleep tonight, you won't sleep tomorrow nite either !!!" I know full well about the "walking back to the car" find but it's just not fair to find a Rosie before your detecter is even warm, and then, absolutely nothing.
If that wasn't enough, I'm only 5 weeks removed from my second carpal tunnel surgery and the whole lawn, for hours, was zoysia grass ! For those who don't know this grass, it's very much like digging thru aluminium screening !
There isn't much I dislike about this hobby. Most are weather or body related. I've decided Zoysia grass and finding immediate silver, then no more, are at the top of my list :(

its funny when I find something good right off the bat I get pumped for the rest of the hunt. Sometimes it ends up that the best thing I found was the very first signal. Hate it when that happens

So true! Your expectations skyrocket! And then slowly you realize...'yeah. that was just dumb luck...this is not the bountiful treasure trove I've been dreaming of...oh well...'

I have 3 blood conditions that cause me to have blood clots. My legs are at the point of giving up most days because of the lack of blood flow I have from all the clots and stents. I'm telling you guys this, not to feel sorry for me, but to let you know how I get around all the walking when MDing.

I take a Hydrocodone (legal, prescribed) and 800 mg. of Ibuprofen before I start. Gets me through the hunt. Now when the meds wear off it sucks, with a capital S! But at least I got to go MDing.
