Greetings from NJ!

I am not sure about the beaches past Manasqan, but the northern ones you have mentioned are all fair game. I have hunted on most of them from Seabright to Belmar.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!! I really appreciate it. I'm a little disappointed about the ACE 250 not being able to work well in wet sand. I'm not so disappointed I rushed to order it today LOL!!
I'm back on kellyco's website looking at other MD's. Also... patbick9... thanks for the Sandy Hook tip, I'm also in Monmouth County Hazlet/Middletown area and I'm thinking good beaches to hunt... Sea Bright, Long Branch, and from Bradley Beach all the way down to Manasquan. Island Beach State Pk after Labor Day for sure with proper permit... Thanks again, Kevin

I've hunted many FL State Parks and local parks that have beaches. I have been told a few times by Rangers that they are not allowed and I have told them that they are but only on the beach dune to just out in the water where that dip in the ocean floor occurs (forget what the legal name for that was) every one of them has left me alone after that. I'm always polite and I always show them the trash that I pulled out of the water/beach area and I reinforce to them that I don't dig holes. I am always wearing Scouting hats/T-Shirts maybe that helps but I live by the scouting words, "Leave No Trace" and "Always leave a place in better condition than the way you found it"

I have never had any problems in GA, NC, SC or VA parks either. Just my personal experiences, but every park ranger is different and remember it is always easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission when it comes to places that you know are not illegal to hunt in.

In the beginning I have always asked and always been told no even when it was not illegal. So I have since changed my ways. Research the laws and don't ask if you know its legal. Always be polite.
