Great yard! Silver Dollar, 20 cent piece, more silver too!

Thank you for more great comments!

Mud-Puppy... thanks, that background is an original plat map from about 1905, for an obscure county in upper North Dakota. I too love old paper stuff!

jkbemdavis - right on regarding that shaky signal - the more I detect, especially in a good location, the more I did odd signals. I think the Jeffy Nickel in the hole with the Silver Dollar and Merc Dime had an effect on what audio tone I heard.

Very nice finds. I've found dollar coins but they were all modern, no silver dollars. Not even an Ike for that matter.

Wow, congratulations!!
Nice photos too- America used to have some beautiful coins:)

Yes we did.

Yeah, although I've never dug/held/seen a lot of the coins posted here, I agree that there was a time when our coins were spectacular.

A great day is a understatement Shiny. 7 Silvers including a Peace Dollar is nothing short of fantastic. Congrats on a very amazing day and one that will stay with you for a very long time. Trapper

Appreciate the comments!

I wonder if being in Montana has something to do with finding a couple of Silver Dollars. They were a common coin in circulation here back in the day, compared to perhaps other parts of the United States. I guess just like real estate, it is location location location!

Incredible stuff Shiny! If you would’ve dug a REAL 20 center that would’ve only been the second I’ve ever seen posted! Beautiful stuff and nice work!

Thank you! And yes, a REAL 20 cent silver would be a very rare metal detecting find! I think this clipped quarter will be as close as I get! :)
