I've just started digging the dump on my father's property, which was an old ranch dump.

What do you use/do to clean your bottles? Your cleaned up ones look really nice.

I'll have to get my old bottles put on here i got a few but no where close to as many as you got there. your gramps sure was smart bury them intact i've come across so many broken or chipped bottles.

Tomass...where do you recycle your glass? Local place or do you haul it to a glass specific recycler? trying to find a resource so I can get rid of the bottles I have set aside plus the ones not even touched yet.

Up where I live (upper peninsula of michigan) the local recycler stopped recycling glass. I literally have thousands of non-collectible bottles piled right now plus thousands more to go (countless dumps at family farm full of bottles).

I'm about to start collecting all of the aluminum cans and squash them up for the local recycler.

pic of one of the smaller dumps that's all junk glass/steel cans/aluminum (so far..found quite a few sodas and milks in here). I've dug 4' down in a couple parts of this dump just to feel it out and it's still full of stuff at 4'.

In the picture of the marbles, the top row second from left is a silver oxblood. Made by Akro Agate. If in really nice shape, it can fetch 20-35 bucks by itself. But condition is everything in marble collecting.

lol good one Chameleon. Those people knew how to drink some beer. It's pretty much all beer cans/bottles. I'd seriously take the time to recycle them all up.

Wisc aluminum prices fluctuate (depending on the company used for recycling) between .35 and .70 cents per lb. If I pulled all of the aluminum cans off that farm and recycled them (30-40 cans=1lb roughly), that'd be a nice fat hunk of change... and alot of bags used....
