Thank You! Yes, in the water only. Here most of the beach's are private. There is a thin line once you come out of the water you can hunt, but the best comes from in..Wow incredible year! Those were all found IN the water correct? Excellent work!
Thanks Earl, It will happen, best is to get out as often as you can.I forgot what the gold rings look like, cant find a shipwreck coin from the 1700s , but ill keep trying, U DA MAN Joe
Thanks SS! Been a real good year for big rings.I second that. I dont remember what gold rings look like anymore....Hey nice job OBN!! Thats a great ring.

Thanks Bigscoopman! Yes , best hunting is in the winter!!Nice Ring OBN, I remember hunting in the same kind of weather, through snow storms real cold winds where you had to wear a face mask to protect your face, but I was called crazy and other names but I hunted year round in R.I .
I agree! Meggie enlightened me!! 110 !another honker- don't stop man go for the 110!
Thanks CS!Congrats on the heavy old gold Joe...excellent find!
Thanks CD! One of my better this year. That is a nice class ring! congrats!
Thanks Michigan! Yes I have that nightmare from time to time. That cleaned up really nice! I thought it was gold filled initially.
Thanks DF! Makes for a great day.congrats on the AU ..!
Thanks Earl, It comes, it goes, but we will go when it does. Miss the crew up there...in 2018 Joe , congrats on the 18k, #107, Earl Joe PS Don't think i will be heading North anytime soon Bro. , the Gold Rush must have dried up Haven't seen any posting lately
Thanks Skippy, 56 is very good. I'm retired now and have the time, so it makes a world of difference when you can pick and choice the best conditions to hunt in...And I am Blessed to live near water, the Chesapeake Bay.You make me wanna CRY... 106 for the year???
I was totally feeling good about my 56 golds lifetime, in the last 3... And then I read this post... WAAAAAH.
Pretty awesome, though... and what a great find a honker is. Fun!
Would love to see a pic of your treasure box, sometime. I know you hoard the stuff, like a dragon.
Skippy
It's cold, snowy, and windy and we have 31 more days in the year to hunt. I see a lot of hunters posting this is it, the year is over. I learned from the best, the boys in Connecticut. Winter comes you ain't a Pirate unless your out chipping away the ice to get in a hunt. (Michigan boys are a different book, maybe the tuffest of all)
We are not there yet but it is coming....Mid temp day, 41, rainy but water was calm and 45F. A good day to get wet...
Last target of the day a Class ring, 13.1 grams, with the "fit all tape" on the shank. He was a dirty old gold, 1961 but cleaned up nice.
If Tungsten Carbide was worth the price of gold , id be lookin good , hunting more is 2019 resolution , before i get attacked for not hunting enough , I Plead the 5th. Herd responces 1000 times , when i do get out - its the effort that counts , in closing OBN dont know how you do it, in your mid 60s, i have all ready slowed down , late 50s , young or old , A Master hunter that Shut's them all up , keep finding the treasure Pirate .
