Fun comparison of our members with the members of the Danbury Metal Detecting Club

I have been recently watching my DVD of “The Detectorists”. Probably for the 3rd time. Hint, it never seems to get old.

It is not too much of a stretch to equate The Danbury Metal Detecting Club members with our Friendly Metal Detecting Forum members.
I would venture to say our Friendly Forum is more like the Danbury Metal Detecting club than any of the other online metal detecting forums.

With this in mind, it may be a fun exercise to decide which of our members would come closest to the below listed cast members of the TV show “The Detectorists”.

The writers seem to have experience detecting ,the bar scene when they pull out a handful of dirty coins and poptops,the hotwheel scene, the intro where they just miss the viking hoard

Mackenzie Crook is a detectorist. He wrote, directed and starred in the Series.
