At least they ain’t ‘feared of the outside!
Thats a great statue, what does it represent ?
There are two things the bridge represents. The frog is sitting atop a spool of thread because Willimantic, Conn. is known as the "Thread city" having a huge thread mill known as "American Thread" that while no longer in operation dates back to the 1800's. Textiles were a huge part of the town's economy. There are actually frogs on each corner of the bridge which was built in the year 2000.Thats a great statue, what does it represent ?
Thanks for the history lesson & pics. Its fun to learn about other places. Now you need to go detect around that mill.

No chance of that because it's all paved over and the mill is now an apartment complex.
I was wondering, have the frogs gone the way of the thread mill??
Maybe it's to remind people to not "jump" the traffic light too fast
(and maybe it has a hidden traffic cam too )
