First Wash Morgans and Peace $$

They were all in one.....

hole and I do believe by the looks of them they were once in plastic from early 1971 and the plastic wrap or ??? had disintergrated over the forty year period.

My. God.

That's possibly the find of a lifetime there for coins. Only way to top that would be to find a gold coin now.

Yep that's right. Only thing better than all of those silver coins is a solid $10 or $20 gold piece. Still a cache of silver is very exciting.

You need to submit that story and pics to Whites and Kellyco, they will probably post that one on thier site and give you a 100.00 certificate for it.

That is an awesome hunt, what incredible results, way to go! Congratulations on all the nice coins!

Awesome finds buddy. Definitely a once in a lifetime hunt. Hope the site continues to produce for you over and over. Congrats.

Mike , had a blast hunting that park with you On Sunday ! The merc was a 1929 after washing all the mud off! I did some research there looks to have been only one building next to where you found the stash of silver ! It shows up on the 1970 view of the park in historicareals.com! I'm trying to locate some old sanborn fire maps of the area around the park ! They usually go back to the 1800's! Hey don't forget to let me know about the 28 peace!

The final wash....

A soft mild soap cleaning and here are the coins. You see the "Ike Dollars" an example of bad money chasing out the good. The 65 to 69 Kennedy halves are somewhere in between. Regards and Thanx, Mykie
