My Nokta Legend pro kit arrived wednesday and I messed with it in the living room thursday just to get familiar with it a little. I had time to take it for a trial run this aftternoon for a couple hours so I headed to an area by the river that is away from civilization. I was searching a trail that parallels the river and was pleasantly surprised to actually find a few things.
what I learned
1--I need a shorter handled shovel than the spade I took.
2---that pointer is a very nice thing to have.
3---the big lg30 coil gets heavy after a while-I might try thr small coil next time.

Here is my treasures so far, a penny, dime, 2 pull tabs and a 22 lr. oh and I left the smashed budweizer can in the hole.

........ so far, a penny, dime, ........

Don't worry. Today it was only 2 clad coins. Next week it will be a wheatie and a silver dime. The following week it will be an IH and a barber. Within a few months it'll be seateds. Pretty soon: busts and reales. Bucket listers will fly past ! By the end of the year: Any gold coin NEWER than 1850 will bore you to tears !

Where the hell were you when I started :rofl2: !

Welcome to the addiction ;) It's a healthy one at least I tell myself that. Nah - it is. We get out and find cool stuff. Even if it's $2 in clad or a bunch of pull tabs too. I have the 15" coil for my Nox and have been using that lately and I will admit, my arm/shoulder gets sore from swinging it for sure. But....
