First Day of 30 day adventure

I think I'm the only one that liked the driving part lol maybe a bit long, but gave me a good look at where you have to hunt. And I really enjoyed the part with the camera set in the grass.

"Well, that park sucked!"

Nice video! Gotta find the virgin parks. I have one by my house, went out tonight for a couple hours and found $3 in clad. I am over $40 in this one park, since March (all clad). Nothing older than a 1972 penny though....friggin park is only about 13 years old.

LOL well I found a good spot yesterday, found 4 bucks in one 20x30 spot which was nice. I will continue to look for better spots, I know where I'm going tomorrow already.

It is real good, it isnt something you want to put your foot on and try to get deep...it is a pull type, aluminum, not stainless. I have put it through some serious crud, even small gravel and it takes everything I throw at it. Robby also uses the same thing and hunts with it about every day.
It isnt worth a crud in the sea near me, because the waves replenish the sand about as fast as I dig it out...but in a calm lake...that would be ideal! Trust me, spend the bucks, you will find those sandy beaches and volleyball courts are no match after you get it!

"Well, that park sucked!" Good job X! Great vid. You have a knack for making videos. Not many people can do that well their first few times out. You're developing a good balance between all of the different aspects of your hunt and a good flow to your videos. Lots of fun to watch. Before long you'll be making feature length films for the movie industry! :goodjob:

Well I'm sure its much better than the ice fishing scoop I tried today.

I will stop by my local md store eventually and ask if he has any scoops like this, otherwise I might just buy that one. I might even try to make one, who knows.

Yeah, I have actually started building my own as well, this is an old "trim tab" from my 21 foot offshore boat...all stainless steel, and at about an 1/8 inch thick, is damn near impossible to beat into shape or cut. :(

I enjoyed the second video ! HA HA I know what you mean about a totlot looking good but not having anything! I checked one today on the way to work. I had hit it twice and got good coinage, but this time, only 1 mem!

I reckon no one has been in it since I last vacuumed it!

Here is another suggestion...at the first of the video...lay out ahead of time all the tools you plan on taking and then tape them explaining why you think they will be useful for that day...type of hunts you want to do that day and plans of types of places to visit. It will make the video more interesting rather than just bouncing around with the camera telling us that you are looking for items to take that will be useful.

Don't take offense at my suggestions. I applaude your efforts and hunts and want you to get better and better at the vids...that's why I make my suggestions. I actually enjoyed getting to see a shot from a distance of that totlot....reminded me of many I have hunted here in central Arkansas! Yep, if you did not get much from it, someone was obviously there within the past couple of weeks if not days...because those things...with good weather...are self renewing!

I now understand your situation with the camera set up and lack of ability to focus up close, so just tell us what it is as soon as you dig it and id it..we don't need to see it then since you are putting a good quality still of the days finds at the end of the video. OH and if you find a real goodie like silver or a ring...be sure to image it separately at the end so we can get a real good look at it! Whatever is the prize find of the day needs that treatment...even if its just a hot wheels car!
