First 2 days with the Garrett AT Pro! *PICS* (fixed pics)

Sweet finds! I love the IH penny! I'm still looking for my first one

Thanks. Yeah that Indian Head was my first one I couldn't believe it!

Oregon isn't as old as most of the states you guys are in but I still love finding semi - old coins:)

I think I fixed the pics for you and everyone else who couldn't see them...

Thanks!

Looks like some really good digs there for sure!

What is that silver thing with a lady on it, a pendant? Is it silver? Would love to see a better picture of that and also the tokens if they are old, if you get a chance...

Sure no problem.

I think it is some sort of Silver or Silver plated pendant.. pretty cool either way.

not sure what it is or what it means... but I still like it:D

Man that looks cool, and old too!

Are there any markings or numbers on the back?

Thanks for the better picture!

Yeah I think it is old, from a 1920's school.

I should've taken a pic of the back the first time:laughing: No markings but it does have another cool little figure or something, maybe you know what it is?

Here it is:

:p

That is Jesus carrying the cross on the back, the woman on the front would be Mary his mother...

WOW!! I hope that my first two days with the new AT PRO look this good! I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you find in this area.

Thanks everyone!

I learned today that not all days are like that...

Got a small handful of clad and some foil and nails :(

Good job !!! And yes, your machine will find it if its down there. Our AT's are something else. I hit a park this evening and had to pass up a !!!!load of targets cause they were bit to deep...lol

+1 ! Some of the ground in my area, which is known for it's rain and green is so hard now in the summer heat that I've been passing targets up because you almost need a jack hammer to get more than 6" down! Never thought I'd be hoping for rain in NW Oregon!

Your not detecting till you got the spoon, I think some its just the way they get lost that bends them, I got two like this shape, I think well at least its in one piece and fairly clean in detecting terms

Taylor you've done an awesome job! Your finds for 2 days are better than my total since I bought my AT Pro in May! I've managed to find a few wheat pennies but no Indian heads or mercury dimes yet and I've been hunting some schools and parks from the 1920's.

I've begun to think that other people with deeper detectors have beat me to all the good stuff. I am in your area BTW. You must have found a real sweet spot! Keep up the good work!

Thanks McClod! Nice to hear from a fellow Oregonian. I'm surprised you haven't found much... If you are in Portland it's possible that some guys with E-tracs or CTXs have wiped some spots clean. But other than that, if the area is old, and people have been there, there will be coins there!

I have only found 1 Mercury dime and 1 Indian head! The rest are wheats, 3 war nickels, and clad. So it's not like I'm digging up boat loads of Silver.

And yes we need some rain it's dry and hard ground out there!
