During Prime Day I ordered the Hero10, and accessory pack. Now to decide how to mount it for detecting. I'm thinking either chest mount or bill of my cap, although that looks a little silly :)

Mainly I want to capture for my own uses, so that I can more readily record VDI so I can learn the nuances of the 900 (I'm used to the 800)

Any suggestions?

I love my Hero 7 Silver.

I use the headband mount. The voice control is great. I can wear it and when I want to record, stop recording, or take a photo, I just say so.

Thanks...

Of course, I ordered the wrong memory card for it :( I thought I ordered the microSD but ordered the normal SD so now I have to wait until tomorrow to play

I also use the head mount, it gives the best POV you’re going to get IF other people are going to be viewing your material…or potentially viewing. But if you want to record VDI’s, that’s slightly different. If it’s only for viewing by YOU and you want to see the screen clearly for learning purposes, I would find a way to mount the camera directly on the shaft of the machine, capturing the VDI and the coil as you sweep it. ALOT of this hobby requires not only a keen EAR, but also a keen EYE, as watching the ground and seeing where you’re getting a signal in cluttered ground is almost an art in itself.

San Diego. Timeshares , hotels , etc. Balconies , some with pools , walk to restaurants. How close to the water you want ? LolView attachment 580925
I ended up in the same place we've been the past 4 years...scored a Palladium ring a couple years ago and a 14k necklace last year

Thanks...since it's a new machine to me, I want to have something for my own reference mainly, and to help my friend I detect with (although he's blind, so the numbers won't matter to him LOL)
Been there done that.

I was lucky enough to have ordered a second onw that WAS the right one...and now I have ordered another replacement correct one so I'm all set...just need to learn how to use the dang thing LOL I'll figure that out when I hit the beach
