Actually we had a grocery store chain here sell out to a competitor and I stocked up, on their close out sale. We also include it in boxes we send to the Philippines. Always good to have some Spam on hand just in case.

Spam has got a bad rap, it really is not that bad and can be cooked up into a lot of dishes. Sure beats the heck out of the other Philippines delicacy dried fish . Wonder if Ken has had to eat any dried fish with his family over in the Philippines.

Just about every city and town in the Philippines has a fish market like that , I imagine Ken has been to many of them with his wife over the years. He probably even knows just the kind his wife likes , but I doubt he has ever eaten them his self.
