Fake stones or not test

A few stones, particularly turquoise, are sometimes made up fake. They either put plastic in cheapo copper chemicals to look like turquoise or they color plastic to look like it. And they are close to the real deal in looks. One easy way to tell which you have is to heat a pin up and try to stick it in the stone. If it wont go in it's rer\al and wont hurt the surface any. steve in so az

thanks for the tip! ive got a watch band with turquoise in it and have been wondering if its real..ill try that.
