F5 Grab function??

My wife uses the Fisher F5 and loves it. I was looking around on the web and came across what is called the Grab function. Has something to do with ground balance. But I can't seem to find exactly what it means and does. Never heard of it before so kinda confused. Can anyone here shed some light on this for me.

I’m not a Fisher user, so someone else may correct me, but you may have found a reference to the “Ground Grab” function that’s available on the Fisher F44 and F70, or “Fast Grab” function on the F75. Yes, each just refers to Fisher’s trade name for the automatic ground balancing function on each detector. The F5 just calls it by a different name - the “Phase Lock” button on the F5 appears to be the same thing.
