I got out today for the first time with my new ace 350 and I am amazed at how well it worked. The snow is mostly gone down here but the ground is very wet and muddy. I was a mess by the time I was done digging holes. How is the snow and mud situation up in Iron Mountain as my friend keeps asking when I will be up. I will let you know when I am coming up.

We went up to Houghton for the weekend to visit the inlaws. It was snowy up there. Came back home today (Sunday) to freezing rain mixed with snow. all the mud froze up!

I heard that you are going to get dumped on tonight. Over 10 inches by tomorrow, I hope we don't get any as I am sure sick of snow. Can't do anything outside as everything is so wet and muddy. Hope your trip up north was fun.

hey kc,
trip was fun. couldn't MD or dig bottles. way too much snow at the farm. So we ended up just hanging out and sitting in the sauna. Woke up to about 4" of snow only. Kids were mad because they were "forced" to go to school. still snowing like crazy though.
I'm about done with the snow also.

yah..we got lucky and only caught the edge of it. it's high 20's right now and sunny. the snow is slowly melting...

Hey Doug I am in Commerce, not too far from Livonia..new myself so not much help on the teaching side..trying to learn the two machines we acquired recently myself.
So far spending time in my yard to learn the tones and target recovery. Ordered the Lesche and a propointer ..hopefully help in the recovery department.

Westland mi, 48186. here there are i think a lot of overlooked places here, according to fed ex my metal detector arrives tomorrow, i almost want to go to sleep now so it will be tomorrow already :P

I am familiar with Westland. I have done a lot of work in the city for the Water Department in years past and would love to work with them again.
I find myself driving various places and now i am looking for every place I can make note of to get to with an MD, with proper permission of course.
let us know how the new machine is workin' out.

I got my machine friday, and have been out with it every day, im starting to learn the tones now, and have really been getting my technique down, i have found more than 50 cents now, a small nickel plated copper heart from a charm bracelet an odd skull and crossbones button, and lots, and lots of pull tabs and bottle caps, also spent 5 minutes the other day picking up most of a 40 ounce beer bottle someone smashed in the wood chips at the playground as well as the broken bottom of a beer bottle at the bottom of a slide!
