Lots of ways to employ new F2 in the field while detecting. Just remember you don’t have to necessarily get total rejection of caps yet you can determine iron component of target with audio signature even if audio sneaks through.
F2 best performance on cap recognition yet keep EQX separating and unmasking (higher/highest) levels is to have horseshoe button ENGAGED.

So it’s time for others to share their experiences with F2 feature. I have said enough.

Iron Bias FE & F2

Adjusting Iron Bias Equinox 600/800 software update ver 2.
Now there are two separate Iron Bias Modes !

1. Use the Settings button to navigate to Recovery Speed in the Settings Menu.
2. Press and hold the Settings button for 2 seconds. A line will appear beneath the Recovery Speed icon, indicating you have selected the Iron Bias setting, and either 'FE' or 'F2' will appear on the Frequency Display.

3. Press the Accept/Reject button to toggle between Iron Bias FE and Iron Bias F2.

4. Press the Minus (–) and Plus (+) buttons to decrease or increase the Iron Bias FE or F2. Adjustments are automatically saved.

5. A long press of the Settings button will return you to the Recovery Speed setting.

Note: the last selected Iron Bias mode (FE or F2) when exiting settings will be the active Iron Bias mode

Iron Bias FE Setting Profile is the factory default Iron Bias profile for all Detect Modes.

I couldnt figure out how each mode was activated since they are independent of each other til i read your post. Then i re-read the manual for like the 8th time and there it was.

Thanks for the updates and tests TNS! I have loaded up 2.0.1 on my 800 and played around a little and it definitely improves the response on bottle caps. I am just wondering what the trade off will be at higher settings?? I plan to test it out in some old parks and yards tomorrow and will hopefully have some video results posted up soon on my channel.

Dont really care much about bottle cap/iron rejection but Im loving the lower backlight brightness on my 600.
