Has anyone thought of a mod for that blinding terrible back light?
Surely we can come up with something!

That light sure is blinding! Minelab could have done better with that feature. I have heard of putting a piece of yellow or blue thin sheeting over the screen. Someone here said they found some at Hobby Lobby. I have not tried it yet, but I plan on trying it out.

Terrible back light? not sure what you mean there.. Sun's reflection on the screen (always cloudy over here?!).. I haven't found the screen to be anything but good to the eyes.. (albeit I'm old...?)

He's talking about the backlight feature on the Nox,lights up the screen for hunting in the dark. The 800 has an adjustable back light but the 600 only has one setting. The window tint sounds like a great idea.

Who really hunts at night that much.

People do hunt at night. I heard today, since today is the spring equinox, that the word "equinox" actually translates to "equal night". So you would think it would be designed to hunt at night.:?:
Anyway, you might find a clip-on book light could work. It would not only light up your screen, but the buttons too. You might customize it with a small piece of tinting film too. This one is rechargeable.

Ok, question is, "How many hardly remember the last time they hunted in the dark?"

Cheers

Dollar store black ultrasheer pantyhose. Tames the backlight, and the sun reflection.

Married, full time job, 4 kids, about the only time I can get out is at night most of the time. That said, I've not been out at all in about 2 months, stuck remodeling and dressing up my house to attempt to sell.... :(
