Had an hour that I could hunt, so I decided to maximize my time and just hunt the spaces here in the RV Park. Now this park has a ton of trash in the ground, Cable TV cables buried anywhere from 6 inches to JUST beneath the surface, and WiFi all over the park. And YES, the WiFi does cause an issue for my ACE 250 but it's not too bad for the E-Trac after noise cancelling. Anyway, when I hunt in the park proper, I'm not allowed to "dig" so the only targets I get to go for are less than a couple inches deep.

If you want to practice going SLOWWWWW, this is the place. I pulled a number of pennies that were near trash and gave some really weird numbers if you went at more than a snail's pace. As a result, I only got to hit two spaces. But I did really well I think.

Got 25 pennies, 1 nickel, 9 dimes, a necklace charm and another bullet. The bullet was an inch beneath the gravel 5 feet from the laundry room door!

And then there's my FIRST SILVER OF 2015!!

I may have some copper pennies, some of the numbers said so but they need to be cleaned, and may even have more silver. I'll update after cleaning.

Great Roosevelt dime!

1946 was the first year of the Roosevelt dimes.

Great finds. Way to start off the New Year. Whooo Hooo!

With those finds I think you have a lot of potential to find more on your next hunt.

And I DID!! I went out for 2-1/2 hours today, hit 7 of the vacant campsites and decided to dig more of the "iffy" target sounds and numbers, and boy did it pay off. I pulled 94 targets in that timeframe!! I was a diggin', poppin', and scrapin' fool today. Many of these pennies came in at 5/35, 10-11/37, etc. Some of the Fe numbers were just way whacked out but the Co was usually good and the pinpoint sounded sharp and clear like a coin.

Here's what I was working in... like the two vacant sites either side of my rig in this picture...

And here's the haul...
