Thats what true friends do look out for one and other..
I don't know where you are in Jersey,but last week there was a nice older Garrett listed on craigslist for 75 bucks! I just checked again and it's gone sold. If you check on there a few times a week you may just score one..
Let me tell ya that Tesero Compadre for 150.00 or so is a great bang for the buck. If your buddy decides after a few months that Metal detecting is not for him, he would only lose about 50.00 or so on his purchase.
