Hello again,

If I want to be able to successfully (assuming my skills are up to par) detect in all environments except suba, what models would be on your short list IF I have a $2500 budget?

What about?
1. AT Pro, AT Pro Gold, Infinium or just the AT Pro Gold and Infinium
2. Infinium & Minelab Eureka Gold
3. Blisstool V3 Combo would I still need a 2nd gold detector since it is a good PI Balanced technology? Like the Eureka Gold & V3 or Nokta Golden Sense

What detectors would buy? I'm OK with 1, 2, or 3 detectors IF needed to be successful. I will hunt relics & coins mostly, on salt water beaches and all dirt types, dry sand to clay. I would like gold detector can can detector jewelry and coins too.

It seems that both a good PI and a VLF detector is needed, unless you get into the few upper models available from $2500 and up. Am I over stating this?

Thanks,

Billy

The only thing I had to say was concerning the (assuming my skills are up to par) part. Well are they? Maybe you should not buy a professional metal detecting arsenal if you are new to the hobby? I would recommend getting the AT Pro an learning with it. Then get something for the salt water if you detect in the wet salt sand. I can't say I have seen a lot of those people using Infinium?

I think all of us would have half a dozen nice detectors if we could afford them. I would have an AT Pro, GPX, a water PI, an Excal, and a 705. I might be forgetting one?

Look into a Minelab 705. It can change frequencies by swapping coils, making it a killer on coins with a 3kHz coil, or an able gold (and other low conductors) machine with an 18.75kHz coil. It also has both a Beach Mode and a Prospector Mode w/Iron Mask, as well as C/T Mode (All Metal & Disc).
