Do any owners of the Equinox 600 wish you had purchased the 800 (or vice versa)??

I bought a 600 with Trond BT wireless headphones (which sound amazing for music btw) and have zero regrets vs buying an 800.

I have the 800. I’m the type of guy that could never buy a 600 when I know they have a 800. When you buy the top of the line you’ll never have regrets. As far as just starting to detect I’d get the AT Pro (used) and see how committed I’m gonna be.

Different strokes. I do use the Gold mode sometimes in the volley ball courts and dry sand...... its deep and dont miss anything. I DONT use that pricy item for the headphones since i just water hunt. I think a lot of it has to do with what you started out on.... more than your NEEDS. Its a mind set i guess..... and those of us who really put in the hours are always looking for an edge knowing the detect gets paid for pretty fast. On a budget ..... naaaa you are good with the 600.

Some of my friends use 600's and find what everyone else using 800's do. The 800 the first thing you don't do is ever use the module. If i buy a back up i am getting a 600. I use gold mode in the dry sand but never scored yet. It will find some deep bullet weights though. Didnt get the big coil because that is what the CTX 17" and whites DFX bigfoot are for:lol:

Which ever machine you decide to purchase give three or more of this forum sponsors a call and discuss your needs with them. The price that is listed is the minimum price that can be advertised. It usually is not the actual price that you can purchase a machine for.

Excuse my ignorance. What is the module?

Here you go Stiffy...Like I said, my understanding is, I think the 'module' was intended to be used with another set of phones besides the ones that came with the rig? Ya see, you can plug your wired phones into the module, and the module communicates with the NOX...so you basically clip the module onto your shirt collar or belt instead of plugging them into the mainframe?...thats what I think is the idea...

.Conceivably, I could use this 'module' to make my F70 'wireless' by plugging it into my headphone jack, and then having it communicate with a set of wireless phones....But again, I'm no poindexter or scientist!.

Thanks. So does the 800 come with it's own wireless headphones that dont require the use of said module?

Sorry, Mud. I just took the time to read the thread. You had already answered my questions!

Luckily for us, theres a whole lot of the 'First Adopters' that figured this all out and generously shared the youtube set ups on this NOX rig......If it were not for them, I'd still be diddling around with this coccamamie module! Of course, I cant program the TV remote, even have a hard time with the garage door opener...

Thank you all for the replies. This is a great active forum and I'm pretty shocked at how many people with Equinoxes have responded in so little time.

My new metal detector is the .....(drumroll) Equinox 800!

For those of you who stated no regrets with 600. I'm sure I would have been fine with it, but I found a good deal and as it turns out, my OCD has a lot of power over me.

Very excited to get out there and hunt!
