Hi yall, I just welcomed to the forum another Sonny from your area. I told him that I used to live in Lake Worth. It got me to thinking. I wasn't detecting back then so it never crossed my mind until now. There is a place in Lake Worth that might be worth looking into. Some of you might have already been there if so disregard. On 820 there is a bridge that crosses the lake. On the east end of the bridge you can get on the north access road and go down to the public boat ramp. The ramp is under the bridge. Right beside the boat ramp stands a huge old chimey and if I remember correctly it has a date on it like early 1900s. No other part of the structure exists but there is this weird u shaped concrete bench that sits right in front of it. I have fished right there or launched my boat there at least a hundred times and never saw anyone detecting there. I believe it is on public land too. If anyone wants to try it let me know what you find. HH
