Sorting through a closet I found a few coils. I'm not quite sure about this one, but I think it is a Detech SEF 12x10 for the E-Trac. Am I right? Is it any better than the stock 11"?

Thanks

It looks smaller than a 12x10. Did you measure one dimension of it, say the the length? I love 10x12 Detech coils. Your pic is deceiving

It looks correct, the connector is obviously correct. But Martin also has a point in that the shadows of the picture actually make it look shorter. It didn’t shrink did it?😆

I know those were/are really super coils on my Whites V3i, better than the Ultimate 13, and makes the Whites 10DD stock coil a joke. I do own the 12x10 for the Etrac/Explorer as well as but I can't remember how well it worked. Thanks for the measurement. MAN! We sure can gather a lot of peripherals for our machines. It will be interesting to get other feedback on the 12x10 for the E-trac.

After reading some reviews I think I'll stick with the 11" stock coil. It probably has a bit more depth in clean sites, and for relic hunting, but the weight would be harder for me. Now I know why it was in the closet.

I preferred the 10x12” vs the stock 11”, better separation and depth. Eventually, mine shorted out near the base at the coil.
