Ctx 3030

You might not see as many V3i,s for sale cause people still trying to figure out the darn thing. As for 3030,s one you see for sale are people who,s wives found out the bought one! 3030 is amazing I have found 35 silver in the last few months and didn't get out for a few weeks of that!!

Good call, DD. It looks like you are from Comstock. I am originally from the thumb area. When I go back this summer and you buy a Minelab, maybe I can drive out your way and give you some pointers.

Good luck on whatever you purchase.

Greg

Totally agree, some people like to swing slow others fast, some wide coils some small, there's such a variety out there and not even the same models are going to act the exact same. And it also depends on the environment, and what you're digging for. One location might be good for the detector the next you might think it's broken.

Thanks for all the info guys I think I will give Bart a call and get a price I do love my MXT and my AT Pro but I think I my add a minelab
I had the MXT, It is a good detector. When I bought my E-trac, the MXT sat on the shelf for over a year untill I sold It. I should of kept the MXT and sold my AT Pro instead.
The V3i will Run neck an neck with a MXT. I say that Because most people forget about the MXT beeing a Prospecting detector.
Seems Like most people always focus on how deep a detector goes.
The CTX on depth is similar to the E-trac / MXT or V3i.
The CTX is Far better with all its Target Id features.
If you follow some of really Good Hunters, who understand the CTX, they making finding good finds of Silver and Gold with there CTX.

mmmmmmmmmm

i seen a post by Max that said the DFX ,white's bought the wright's from Minelab to build,it has Minelab gut's ,also someone selling a v3i told me,he sold his because to be honest he never dug anything over 6 inches :roll:,happy hunting ,good luck in your choice,i would go with a Etrac,Earl

I heard that White's might discontinue the DFX too.

Location, Location, Location. Technology is useless if you don't move the search coil over the target.

I've owned an MXT Pro and also an ETrac and have a CTX3030 in the mail right now.

I thought my MXT Pro was an OK machine when I was using it but once I got my ETrac, I realized how deficient it was. The ETrac has been an amazing machine for me over the last few years and I'm hoping the CTX3030 is the same way. I ended up selling my MXT Pro and haven't looked back.

Interesting

I've been studying real hard all of the new detectors that are out and I'm torn between a V3i and an E-Trac. I'm a White's user now. All of the Minelab talk though has me thinking hard about switching brands.
