Chuck to be back at it? But?

In all honesty, if you stick your toes back into scoop making, design a rounded one and a bent one. Not naming names of scoops on purpose. But I bought someone one of the bent metal type for Christmas. They threw it back in my SUV and went back to the round one. And I don't care for the bent ones either. May have to put the one in my SUV in some bedroom pics?

Agree with OBN , the last pick I saw of him was in front of his shop , had his bags packed for a flight out of the country , Chuck made his mark in the scoop business , maybe at his age , complete retirement comes next , sell your machinery business , get on with full - retirement , I retired at age 50 , never looked back , we never know when , our time on earth ends , it's time for you to seek happiness in your retirement place , my opinion , happy hunting :rofl2: Felix said retire in Florida , Miami is warmer than MI. , and he will save you some zincons :fishin::sun2::tropical: However , if Rocky decides to go 1 more round making scoop's , maybe a 10 wide , 6 inch high , 12 gage in 316 SS , a game changer , put me down for one , I have to keep my museum going , said the Boss :lol: Final thought's , I can see Chuck getting back into the scoop business , has then same odds , as Craig getting back into Plowing snow :snowtruck::snowtruck::snowtruck::snowtruck::snowtruck::snowtruck::snowtruck: It's Not happening :awwman::lol2: , I am in trouble Chuck if those 90 degree scoop handles break- with the 20 degree CF insert , I have 3 , and I need a ash handle for my 920IX .

What is all this chit-chat nonsense about anyways. Regrets ? Why did you sell it off in the 1st place ?

Just kidding , One never knows what Chuck is going to do , I will buy a 5 th. scoop from him , in 316 SS , Lazer cut , premium welds , bucket supports, 4 arm supports , 12 gage , Carbon Fiber handle , all my current scoops are 14 gage , in 306 , I am going to kick back & watch now , hopefully Chucks not just blowing off steam , I did like his thread header post :waytogo::welcomeback::?::?::?::?::?: PS you know if you buy all the equipment , get a good welder , find the steel Resorces which are harder to find now , that lifetime warranty kicks back in on the Chuck made scoops , along with you new model :yes::yes::jawdrop::thumbsup::clap:

"Lifetime warranty ?"..Who's ? 🤣

You have a point here ! According to Chuck , my original SunSpot scoops no longer carry a lifetime warranty- of coarse , he doesn't comment here , because he sold the business , new owner dropped the ball , then sold out to yet another manufacturer , SO there is NO LIFETIME WARRANTY ! At least Xtreme carries a 10 year warranty, and makes scoops in 316 SS & titanium in the USA , SUNSPOT well so much for the Lifetime , me- like other's, if they break were stuck getting SunSpot scoops fixed , or just buy Xtreme `, as my word on here , just as good as my 306 SS- Stealths , made in better 316 SS , and he has the equipment , Lazer machines , material , everything needed , NOW Kob , why did he drop out of his only 5 % scoop business /rest 95 % machinery business , just a guess , maybe he had a hard time addressing warranty claims , got tired of it , who knows , never had issues with mine , probably because I don't hunt much . Seems like he created another business making stork legs for detectors , and other detector parts , people I know have had issues with breakage , now did he take care of those customer's . I don't know , but two member's have spoke up on this thread , I have heard Chuck use (GAME CHANGER)- before , was it , don't know, other's can answer that question , Now Chuck made a good scoop in closing here , big buck machinery , material , welder's , & most important customer's ,- will they return , ? My opinion , manufacturer's that copy other manufacturer's patent , well that is between THEM , the customer IS NOT INVOLVED , myself I look at quality , material , welds , build , cost , availability, discounts, - currently in the USA , Only XTREME right now , I buy what I like & want , customers come 1st. , the customer calls the shot's , the manufacturer's JOB to make- all customers happy , regardless of other businesses- trying to copy patents, or ideas . I hope he returns , my opinion , the way the economy is right now , it will be a slow roll process , only Chuck can make it work , right now , it could be the wrong time to come back , however , it would be nice to have 2 top quality USA scoop maker's to choose from once again , happy hunting .

Not that I need one, the one I got from him in 2012 is still going strong and I've used the snot out of it, but if he starts making scoops again, I will find a way to convince my wife I just have to get a new one!

When I sold the Stealth line (I called one of the scoops Xtreme but the name was copied so I dropped it), I had a talk with Peter the new owner about the lifetime warranty. I told him if he wanted to eliminate the warranty, that was the time. He clearly said he was going to keep it for ALL Stealth Scoops that I made AND all new ones. I never said he eliminated it. Of course, one big problem with the warranty if the super high cost of shipping, BUT, he was covering the warranty.

I did not have many warranty claims, period.

That I understand , how about answering Kobs ? ( What is all this chit-chat nonsense about anyways. Regrets ? Why did you sell it off in the 1st place ? ) ---- NOW my ? Why did you make this thread to begin with , after casting off, or selling- your scoop business , including dedicated customer's ? Some might think your throwing out some Chum -to see :scope: who takes the bait :fishin: on a LONG SHOT . Your business was built on a Solid foundation in it's Time , Selling off the 5 % scoop business , customer's gone , the question is WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO RETURN ? If it was so bad , you wanted SELL ! Step up to the plate , it's your turn to bat , 3 options , in my opinion only , Get on base , Hit a home run , or Strike Out , ( What is all this chit-chat nonsense about anyways. Regrets ? Why did you sell it off in the 1st place ? ) PS-- Mirical's do happen however , Put me down for a 1020 IX , 10 wide, 14 Long , with a 6 inch deck Hight, 4 rod supports, big foot size 15 W- foot plate - in 316SS, 12 gage - with two CF shafts & 1 CF shaft for my 920IX as the ash handle is in poor shape !

Surfmaster , we may never get our answer from him. I think he's a bit long in the tooth to seriously consider it. Just a trip down memory lane is all 🤣🤣🤣. Speaking of memory lane , I have a very similar experience as Robby does. Here is me & my 720i circa 2010 at O'side pier when I lived there for a few years. Best scoop I ever owned. Don't think i could destroy it if i tried. And you guys have seen some of my scoops ! Only a few nicks/scuffs when I sold it 6 years later to a guy on the beach for $50 more than I paid for it , thinking I could just go buy another 🤣. That's when I started my research on going into the local Stealth factory. And boy , what a can of worms that turned out to be.....Was also swinging a old Surf Pi pro here.....

Good pick , a lot of people liked that 720I , seen some pictures of the bucket bent in the mid bottom area , never owned that model , OBN likes that model , this thread I am wondering why one would put it out there if he wasn't coming back , ODDS of him coming back , id say are slim , ya never know , The answer we seek , why did he sell it , 5% scoop business / 95% machinery business , DON'T KNOW , only he knows and your right , we may never know the real deal , might have just been for the bread , XTREME has a video up on his site , with his Lazer cutter , looks high tech , so if Chuck wants to come back , it will cost him some :money::money::money::money::money:

Even if others copy your design you can still stand out in the business by using quality materials, providing a good warranty on materials and workmanship and lastly, provide the best customer service out of all who sell your type of product.
It is the "Service AFTER the sale" that means much to many.
