Actually, got it on Thursday so 4. :D

why arent you using the CZ?
I have been. I just wanted to take out the new toy for a test drive in some area that I've been hitting with the CZ often. I don't know if the CZ would've picked up the ring. Unless both detectors would've been there for a side-by-side comparison, there's no way of REALLY knowing. There's a lot of stuff that I picked up with SS that I don't feel the CZ would've consistently registered as a "target", and hence I would not have attempted to dig. In my semi-expert opinion, (after only 1 hunt with a PI ), I believe it gives you an edge on consistent target recognition for deeper items when compared to a VLF, but at the expense of digging way more cr*p.

That's a beauty- tough with those jellyfish though-- but worth it for that hunk of yellow, right? . btw that sandshark you feel is much deeper than the Czech? Thanks. Joe

So how much melt for that one? Just about paid off the detector I assume? Lol. That's unreal. Congrats Felix.

Let see detector was $250, minus 8.4 grs of 18K which at the moment is $247. Leaves me $3 short. ;)

Wow! That is awesome Felix! I like the rope design on that ring. Glad you had early success with your Sand Shark. Thanks for sharing some of the pros and cons of the detector.

Nice find. I enjoy my Sand Shark at the beach too. Have found some nice finds with it. I do use it on dry sand because I've cleaned my beach pretty well but it helps me find any bottle caps I may have missed!

Word of caution to anyone looking to buy a Sand Shark on eBay. When I was shopping for mine I found a lot of offerings for Sand Sharks. NOT TESORO SAND SHARKS. Yep. Chinese knockoffs. Logo was almost identical too. So make sure the ad specifies Tesoro Sand Shark or you may be sorry.
