Really appreciate the reply Blaise. I'm going back to the site to finish the yard this morning. Hope its half as good as the front yard was. I have not found a lot of Sterling this year hope that that changes in the future.

I love the Barbers also Jerry. But then again I love Merc's, Rosie's, Seated's. Come to think of it I love big Silver, little Silver and it does not even have to be a coin Silver. I think you get the drift.

The big girl has some heft Brad specially next to her little sister. It was a very fine week just too darn hot. As you see the new toy got a few more but nothing compared to Bret's. That is a very lovely lady and he has every right to be happy with that one. Is it his first Half? The new (fixed) muffs not only work great but they very comfortable again. Life is good.

Congrats on the continued silver streak with some big silver thrown in for good measure!

You know Fred this year has been a streak for me. Have only took the skunk 4 times. That only is amazing to me. I have been really blessed this year on big Silver the Barber Friday is my 8th Half for the year. Trapper

The sites are the keys Jordan, I'm very sure you know that. The Parks here like every other place have been pounded to death. So to survive and keep finding some success I went door knocking. It has been working for me.

That was the plan for this year for a while now Digger. Being retired now allows me the time. I spent a lot of winter nights researching and did some recon for areas I wanted to ask permissions at. So far things are working out. Still it is not without sacrifice as I now have well over 475 swing hrs. in this year.

Thanks Mark for the reply. Giving you an update as I picked up a War nickel #196 last night an this morning went back and hunted the back yard of the Barber Half house and got three more including a dated Stander, #199. Barber Dime was 197 and a Merc 198. Pic's will be in the next report.

A guy starts dreaming about it hard around Aug/Sept and a lot of prep work/scouting to do...whats the market looking like for this year? I've been finding some cross overs and some rat swamps here at my new place...I might just jump in again...Good Work Trapper!

Wow! Brad, 2 Walkers, that is fantastic. Guess Bret never made a big deal of his finds. We got to put a handle on him so he can boost a bit, maybe even show off a little. He sure has good reason to be happy.

Thank you Mud for your kind words. It's been a great ride so far. I've had the trapping dreams since I was a little kid. While I can no longer pound the steel that put huge numbers on the stretchers, I'm proud to say I have never missed a trapping season in 58 years. This one will be my 59th. Mind you had a couple that were very limited but I still sold fresh fur at seasons end. Prices are bad. Maybe a $3 average on put up Rats. Raccoon is basically worthless. For me it will still put some spending cash in my pocket. You still have all your equipment? I don't think I would try buying any new stuff as it has become way to pricey. Trapper

Well darn the cat's out. Tomorrow is the 4th so I was going to wait to report it until tomorrow night. Besides I'm going out for a few hours again in the morning. Maybe get lucky and add a couple more. Just talked with Mike maybe you two can join us this coming weekend.
