BTW, I did finally find out that they're really big on preserving their history in that town. I found it on one of their historical society web pages. Little do they know just how much we have in common.

Yates Center. But it's in the same county.

Oh don't worry too much about Riverside park. We can meet there, but I think the real action is going to be at another place I found on a very old map of the town.

I got this little bit of infor today: there are 2 or 3 empty buildings on main st and a 2 or 3 story memorial hall with vines growing on the side of the building, the old school is a block west of the post office with no doors,windows or roof. The park is across the river and is a campground type. The road to the river is E-W go east of the merorial hall bout a block or 2 and come to the river

Another shot of the school..., I understand it stands directy behind their current community center.


Maybe we could stop in at the Oasis/Last Resort


Might double their sales that day.. and even pick up a local tip or two as to where to hunt.


But don't plan on needing gas...have enough to get out of town. :tumble:

Sounds very nice. Hopefully they got just enough rain to soften the ground, but not too much to make it humid and muddy. I'm going through silver withdrawal and need a fix bad!

I'm so jealous! I switched weekends at work to this weekend so I could be off for Father's Day next week. Otherwise I had thought about joining you. I'm hoping to hunt Neosho Falls later in July if the conditions are good. My wife has family that owns some farmland along the river north of there near Leroy. Good luck and I'll be checking back Sunday to see what y'all find.
