Anyone have luck at volleyball courts?

I have one local sand volleyball court that gets a lot of play time and the locals have a volleyball tournament league and play every night all summer, finds in the court itself are not great clad and some junk jewlery, the ring of grass around the court does pretty well on clad, but every metal detector in miles seems to hit it every time they go by, so I kind of gave it up and hunt other areas, but still hit the edge sometimes. seems any easy digs get hit hard and often around here, lately everything is getting hit hard, even had another metal detector pull up along the road the other day and yell at me to get out of "HIS" city park! Kinda odd that I never seen anybody metal detecting anywhere near me before now they see me and run out and buy a machine? oh well!

Hard to imagine someone seriously thinking only he was allowed to hunt that park! Oh well, it takes all kinds. If he gave me too much trouble I'd go back after I was done detecting and spread BB's all over the park!

The closest I had to that was some guy trying to convince me the beach I was hunting wasn't any good for detecting and he only did it there for the exercise. He then gave "helpful" suggestions about other places to hunt. Over the course of the following two weeks at that beach I found two platinum rings, a gold ring, some silver rings, a barber dime, a standing liberty quarter, and lots of clad!

Luckily

Luckily the only time I ran into a detectorist telling me I was on his turf, he was only kidding and we had a good laugh and detected the park together for a couple hours.

Haha. That's funny. Maybe he was joking? As much as I hate being approached while hunting, I yelled at a guy to get off my turf while he was detecting, but then we also had a laugh and talked detectors for a while.
