Another oddity from Coinstar

My brother brought over another coin oddity he pulled from the Coinstar at Walmart. I tried a search and found little more than speculation. Most called it "PMD". Post Mint Damage. It looks all normal, other than a thicker rim, but has no reeded edge.

I have seen similar damage on coins that tumble around in the dryer for awhile. I could also be someone just banging on the edge with something.
