Ok,I want to run this by you for a second. What are the chances of two forum members named “Kevin”(you and me) finding identical date and condition Morgans within a few weeks of each other? Even though yours is an S and mine is an O they could be absolute twins. Chances?
I’ve only found 2 Morgans and both times were a mind popping experience. Seeing something THAT BIG and realizing that it is a COIN is really surreal. I’m glad you got the chance to go through that,it will light a fire under your ass to find silver like no other thing can. And if you think that’s the only Morgan waiting to be found in your vicinity...what’s the chances?
Congratulations Cruiser,you can definitely sit high on those laurels for a little while and relish that find,there are SO many yet to come. Hunting with someone else who has your mindset helps immensely,we just feed off of each other! It’s a good thing,so keep it going!

Seeing something THAT BIG and realizing that it is a COIN is really surreal. grin:

I remember thinking the same thing like how do you drop a coin that large and not have someone catch it with their eyes? You’d think the ground just swallowed it up! My silver dollar was a modern one I believe used to flip by the referee at the football field where I found it; too bad not a Morgan!

It’ll happen buddy,just when you don’t expect it! You’ll get that magic 1 FE and think you have a quarter...maybe a HALF!....and WHAM! That honker will be sitting right there in the dirt pile,waiting for you to touch it,stroke it,babble to it like you’ve gone insane....and the Sweeper will be ruined for the next week straight. You just have to beat Bret to it!
