Wow, That's a beauty. When you pull it out, you can measure the diameter, and simply look up the carat size on the stone. Brilliant cut stones have fairly easily determined weights by the diameter.

Thanks Mud. I hold off on good post for a time to see if I can find the owner. I give them back if the real deal shows up. You have to be careful around here. They line up to claim a good find if they can pull it over. I've been told I was to paranoid. May be l am. Thanks for the look see and good words from the puppy.
