Slim.. the ruby is lab created.

Yup your spot on Craig! Lack of inclusions is a dead give away

Stumbled onto a great little spot Monday morning slightly after high tide. Targets started out a bit slow but as the tide lowered, the action picked up. Consistent clad hits, silver, and ridiculous amounts of old heavy fishing lead kept my hopes up high for gold. Had to make several trips to my car just to unload all the lead I was pulling out. After a while I started cherry picking mid-tones then bingo I hit an 8.4 gram 14k nugget ring. Soon after I hit a 4.5 gram 10k FG band. I was pretty charged up at this point and the tide was still going out. Kept hitting lots of mid-tones turning out to be nickels until eventually started pulling out some extremely crusty 10k gold. I'm still in the process of cleaning off the crust. definitely got my worked cut out on the restoration.

Came back the next day and met up with my friend Rich. We both hit the area pretty hard, after a while I started cherry picking mid tones again. I managed to pull out some good clad, lead, silver and 2 14k rings for a total of 5.2 grams. Diamonds on both rings test good and one stone looks to be opal. Also the wide silver crossover ring is hallmarked T&Co, so that's a nice added bonus!

Came back for a 3rd day, I was convinced there was still a little more gold left churning around. Targets were getting thin but still managed a little clad, 1 tiny eroded silver, and a crusty broken 10k ring. Rain starting coming down hard, so called it a wrap and bailed.

Thanks for looking, GL & HH!
This is not the first time I've seen results like this from you. The gold cleaned up really well and your pictures are great. I have to say it was very cool that you invited me down to hunt with you. I had a great time...Davy Jones you're the man.....Thanks Rich

Try viewing that stone under UV light like a black light. Ruby will florese but agate will not. Just a thought
