ENDED 2nd Annual Pull-Tab Contest (Ends 12/15/15)

I got the bucket-o-tabs all boxed up and will be shipped out tomorrow. So for the tabs I am saving now, what is your deadline date for this year?

Today was probably the last decent day to pick, for a while. I hit it hard for 3 hours in Duluth and came back with 3 more ounces of tabs. If the weather holds off until tomorrow night, I'm hoping to get a little more picking in and hit the 7 1/2 pound mark.

Mission accomplished.

Finished up my deer season yesterday so now I can get back to detecting before the ground freezes up. So I may find a few more plus I may try to get out to the shop and pick the rest of the tabs out there. Rob, did ya get thet last box?

It was an oddly nice day, up here. Around 55 and sunny. I went picking for 2 hours and got about 2 ounces of tabs. The rain has returned, and will turn to snow tonight.

No snow in our forecast but it is cold as a well digger's butt! It was in the 20's last night! :cold1:

Well, snow and an upcoming week of below 30 degree temps has probably put an end to my detecting til spring. But I did get quite a few tabs at Thanksgiving. So I will collect until December 10th and send the ones I have. Are you doing this again next year also?

May try sending one more SMALL packet if I can. Just not a lot of tabs right at the moment.

Rob,

Is it to late to mail you a box of tabs if I get them in the mail this coming week end? It takes about 5 days for them to reach you from Colorado.

After a few hunts, I had enough tabs for another tumbler run. There is no snow on the ground, and none in the forecast, so I'll be keeping up the creeping. There is also a growing pile of squashed cans in the bed of my truck that need tabectomies with pliers.
