2019 FMDF Christmas Gift Exchange

Got my gift from RomyRome in. WOW, just wow. I am stunned by your generosity Romy. Thanks for such a great gift. An awesome gift from an awesome forum member. Thanks man.

So glad you liked it buddy ;) I hope you have a wonderful X-Mas I will stick my gift under the tree once it arrives and open on X-mas, update after that :cool3: Merry X-Mas Everyone :D

I've opened my gift from Cellrdwellr! He was really thoughtful & generous in what he sent! The treasure hunting book looks like an interesting read - and reading is a favorite pastime of mine. Then, there's the Garrett patch to go along with it! I especially like the nice selection of historical coins, as well as the 1982 proof set & the graded BU first-day issue presidential dollar. He even included a coin for my brother, Wolf-Dog! :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jeff! I feel blessed to have been paired with you. Merry Christmas to you & your family, and to everyone else here on FMDF!

P.S. I mailed Cellrdwellr's gift on Monday & sent him the tracking info. Hope he enjoys it every bit as much as I enjoy mine!

I mailed Jerr-Man's gift a few days ago. I haven't heard from him so I don't know if he has received it yet. It's not easy coming up with a gift for a dealer.

I received Wolf-dogs gift today, and he did awesome!! He sent a beautiful card, an Indian Head penny coin folder, which I was actually wanting for my dug IHPs, and he sent me a bowl of dirt from him in Minnesota, and he burried some coins in it! What an awesome idea that was!!! It was fun since it’s been too cold to go detecting!

Thank you so much Garrett!! I really loved everything!!

I like it!! Thanks for sharing that.

I just received Swing4TheRing’s gift. It’s an awesome Concert Ukulele with bag, strap and tuner! Just played it for an hour! How did you know I’m a Uke player?
Also the biggest, baddest Buffalo Nickel plaque to hang in the guitar shop.
Thank you very much. I’m blown away!

I had him my first year doing the exchange and I was blown away as well. He's very thoughtful and makes a real effort to find something that his partner in the exchange will enjoy.

I'm glad you enjoyed your little metal detecting hunt and that the IHP folder will be put to good use. It makes me happy that you liked all that I sent! Merry Christmas! :present::xtree:

Thanks again for my gifts, too. :D

I received my package from princess yesterday, and am very happy with it! The cards were handmade and handwritten, and a really beautiful poem was included inside. Thank you Chelsea! Happy holidays!

I'm glad you like it, Jeff! Merry Christmas!

Thanks to Vlad & Carol for putting together another fun gift exchange!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Here is my Christmas gift from Monte! I'm totally blown away! What I sent him falls short of the magnificent gift he sent me! Thank you Monte so much! I am thrilled beyond words! The silver dollar is a 1921. It has an S mint mark! The buttons from Georgia include a 1753 Britannia Georgius II coin, two military buttons (1 general service and 1 infantry cuff button), 1 button that appears to be a dandy button with design on it and two that I think are Tom back. The bullets from Georgia are awesome. I don't know enough about these types of bullets to tell you just what I have. I know two of them are musket balls but I don't know the calibers of them or the others. The jar of buttons is fantastic I hope you can read his note on them.

I held off opening my gift until Christmas Day after getting home from a family get-together in the morning.

I'm very thankful for the gift, too. I bought another detector (it arrives the morning of the 26th) for one of the grandkids to use. There are three of them close-by and I only had one old extra Lesche digger for them or friends to use. I needed an extra to be on-hand.

And as 'prepared' as I should have been, on detecting outings I always need to fix something but never had a handy tool. I take along a compartmented tote for extra batteries, arm straps, coil mounting hardware, etc., and now have a useful flashlight and multi-tool that will fit in two of the compartments ... making me better prepared for future detecting trips.

Plus, in the summer's heat I like to night hunt ghost towns rather than roast during the daytime heat. I had a smaller flashlight I used to use but I recently needed to replace it and hadn't yet. Again, I am now better prepared.

Surprisingly, I received a useful gift of things I really needed. 'Thank You' Pennyfinder, and I trust what I sent was satisfactory. Looking ahead to next year's Gift Exchanage!

Glad you could use everything I sent. I wasn't really sure what you could use and I was afraid that my gift would not be up to par but I see now that everything I sent was exactly what you needed! And your gift to me was more than satisfactory -- I love it! THANK YOU! -- Pennyfinder

I receive my gift today from jerr-man. It is a Whites utility pouch. It has plenty of pockets for my tools. It is larger than what I have been using but this way I can have everything together. Thanks jerr-man.
